SUBSTANCE: invention relates to video data encoding and decoding techniques. An image processing device is disclosed. The device comprises a decoding section, a filter installation section and a filter. The decoding section performs decoding of encoded image data to generate decoded image data. The filter installation section is designed to install, according to the dimensions of conversion units at the boundary of the conversion unit, at least one of the following; filtering output length for the boundary of the conversion unit and the filtering object range.
EFFECT: high image quality by reducing image unit distortions by performing filtering according to the filtering output length and the filtering object range.
