FIELD: manufacturing technology.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to optical and electronic industry, particularly to fibre optics, and can be used in making flexible and rigid regular fibre-optic bundles of fibre-optic plates, converters or focusing cones. Method includes extension of individual rods of same or mutually matched 0.4-6.0 mm cross-section from rods of round or polygonal section, made of glass, a set of regular bag neck packet in multicore fibers (MF) with the size from 5 microns to 6 mm and possible further processing of MFs. Package is made so that distribution of rods of glasses with high and rods of glasses with low refraction index in cross section of the packet was random at quantitative ratio of high-refracting and low-refracting rods from 1:9 to 9:1. Then packet is packed to obtain regular multicore fiber with random distribution of high-refracting and low-refracting fibres in cross section with cross-section and size of fibres from 20 nm to 20 microns.

EFFECT: technical result consists in simplifying multicore fiber manufacturing process, reduced labour intensity and increase of efficiency of manufacturing process.
