SUBSTANCE: invention relates to automotive industry. Steering column electric lock comprises housing, motor, worm gear, worm wheel, motor cover and housing cover. Housing has shape of box with open surface and comprises arrangement chamber. Motor is arranged inside arrangement chamber and includes drive shaft. Worm gear is fixed on motor drive shaft. Worm wheel features shape of disc and comprises central shaft with one end, rotary resting on lower part of arrangement chamber. Electric motor cover is made so that rotary support other end of worm wheel central shaft. Electric motor cover has end section, located outside of housing cover side surface. Electric motor cover is made with possibility of housing cover extension when housing cover is installed on housing, and is made with possibility of being pressed by housing cover.

EFFECT: higher reliability of electric motor in housing retention is achieved.
