FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: device includes the locking element and secondary locking mechanism actuated in response to the load from cover to hold the locking element in position of the steering column locking in case of illegal releasing. The secondary locking mechanism is in form of the inclined area on one of the internal surface of the opened cover side and on the outside surface of the opened frame side, and the inclination reception area is provided on the another internal surface of the opened cover side and on outside surface of the opened frame side. If outside force is applied to the inclined area then from outside the inclination reception area slides over the inclined area and changes the cover position or removes it. Options differ in terms of the design of the secondary locking mechanism.
