FIELD: construction.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to construction, particularly, to production of carbon-metal construction element of tubular shape with longitudinal stiffening ribs of two flat workpieces by generating excess air pressure. First, main workpiece is made from two steel strips of same length and thickness, sealed along longitudinal edges with open transverse edges. Additional workpiece is then made of carbon fibres impregnated with polymeric material, closed along longitudinal edges and with open transverse edges. Main workpiece is placed inside additional workpiece to form flat matrix. Excessive air pressure is then created between steel strips which become deformed and surround tubular section. Upper layer of matrix is stretched and tightly adjoins steel strips of main workpiece. Layers of the matrix are the joined by epoxy resin.
EFFECT: higher bearing capacity and rigidity of structural element.
