FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine building and can be used in making car suspension springs. Method of storing car suspension springs consists in that storage of spring is carried out after its thermal packing and hardening of spring in contracted at least several turns. Before packing spring, method includes control of its load characteristic with fixation of height of spring in free state and control of height of spring at nominal control load, and after unpacking spring value control height is corrected towards reduction on value of change of height of spring in free state. For storage of spring are used packing elements, including means for retention of spring turns in compressed state.
EFFECT: reduced volume occupied by springs in storage, including together with shock-absorbing struts of vehicles, improved quality of vehicle suspension springs due to their additional hardening during storage in a compressed state and rejection of broken and sagging springs when unpacking them after storage.
