SUBSTANCE: invention relates to compositions of crude mixtures which can be used for making expanded clay. Crude mixture for making expanded clay contains, wt%: brick clay 91.0-94.0, quartz sand 5.0-7.0, kaolin 0.2-0.3, dry peat 0.5-1.5, diesel oil 0.2-0.3.
EFFECT: higher strength of expanded clay obtained from crude mixture.
