FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in metallurgy and chemical industries, using the compound of chromium (III) and copper (II), at enterprises with etching and galvanic shop, in leather production and leather chromed tanning. Method involves treatment of effluents by scrap of asbestos -cement slate, which is grinded to grain size 0.5-3 mm under the phase contact for 3-5 minutes. Method provides complete removal of chromium (III) ions and copper (II) ions from waste water and increases the rate of purifying waste water.

EFFECT: invention extends the range of efficient and cheap reagents used for treatment of effluents and enables to recycle scrap of asbestos-cement slate.
