FIELD: atomic physics.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the nuclear industry and to the collection of highly radioactive products from transport pipelines. Samples are collected on a portion of a transport pipeline located in the housing of a route switch. The apparatus includes a housing hermetically connected to the transport pipeline and a piston mounted inside, capable of angular rotation and provided with an arched channel and sealing elements. A hollow cylindrical channel is mounted in the housing of the piston, the lower open end of the cylindrical channel being hermetically connected and constantly linked to the inner cavity of another inclined hollow channel with a rectangular cross-section near its lower open end. The free upper end of the vertical cylindrical channel is either plugged or enters a transport container mounted above through its lower bottom. A scoop is placed in the transport container, where the lower end of the scoop is provided with a cup for receiving the samples.
