SUBSTANCE: camshaft- to-crankshaft gear ratio of 1:3 is set, charge of air is delivered into cylinder, fuel is injected into cylinder at beginning of compression stroke, then mixture of fuel and air is transformed into homogeneous mixture at idle run of piston and repeated compression, after which gas mixture is ignited at beginning of expansion stroke. EFFECT: reduced fuel consumption, provision of multihued operation, decreased toxicity of exhaust gases. 2 cl, 1 dwg
