FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: electric arc furnace contains lower tank for melting of the iron containing materials with release device for regular melt release, lid for installation on lower tank, at least one electrode, electrode holder holding at least one electrode through the first hole in lid inside the electric arc furnace, and power supply device to ensure power voltage for electrode. The electrode holder contains a device for the electrode regulation in accordance to its wear, and device for electrode connection by union, wherein the release device is located in the lower tank, and is made with possibility of regular melt releases with switched on power voltage, and with installed fixedly and vertically tank.
EFFECT: invention ensures voltage supply to the electrodes continuously to perform larger number of successive melts with only break for the furnace maintenance.
