FIELD: metallurgy, winning of melts. SUBSTANCE: for execution of energy-efficient, not harmful to environment and not requiring much expenses metallurgical treatment of iron-carrying materials, specifically, of steel melt invention suggests that all operations are conducted in one and same metallurgical vessel functioning as converter and electric arc furnace without transfer of molten product. Portion of molten metal from preceding melting is left on bottom of settling tank on which Al and/or Si are injected and iron-carrying materials are loaded. They are heated and melted thanks to generation of additional non-electric energy with blow-through with oxygen-containing gas through lance brought into space of metallurgical vessel via knee for waste gases through hole in central part of cover. Central part is separable and knee for waste gases is put on its hole. Intermediate flushing of slag carrying up to 50% of silicon oxide is conducted. On termination of blow-through slag containing phosphorus is drained and thermal energy created by electric arc is conveyed.
