FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: surgical instrument comprising a manual release mechanism, which interacts with a clutch, and a drive system for implementation of at least two separate drive movements. After first movement of release mechanism said drive system is triggered and first drive movement occurs. As a result, clutch moves from an inactive position to an active position. Second movement of release mechanism triggers drive system and another drive movement.
EFFECT: surgical instrument allows surgeon to set brackets, without cutting tissue, and control terminal clamp with one hand.
