FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to powder metallurgy, particularly to method of producing composite material from titanium or its alloy, and can be used for medical devices, in particular, submersible fixing implants used in traumatology and orthopaedics. Method involves mechanical method of creation on surface of metal grid of grooves, walls of which are inclined to surface, formation on this surface layer of powder with particle size in 4-5 times smaller dimensions of grooves, pressing under pressure of metal layer with layer of powder, vacuum diffusion welding of obtained two-layer design at temperature lower than that of material layers. Then, plasma deposition of diamond-like carbon coating with thickness of 0.05-1 microns and hardness of 70-80 GPa.
EFFECT: technical result is high strength of composite material due to increase in adhesion strength of porous layer with metal surface and surface hardness.
