FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: the method for producing a detonation biocompatible coating of a medical implant involving mechanical and chemical preparation of a titanium implant coating followed by coating formation by hydroxyapatite powder spraying onto the titanium implant. What is used is a detonation gas spraying procedure having a working ratio of oxygen and propane/butane mix of 70:65 with controlling the propane/butane mix supply at constant oxygen flow according to regimens 90 l/hour, 150 l/hour and 200 l/hour, at a cycle frequency of 4 Hz, feeding the hydroxyapatite powder having a particle size of 150-300 mcm at 70 mm from the titanium implant.

EFFECT: higher coating adhesion to the titanium implant as a carrier; provided preset roughness and initial phase composition of the coating, and lower energy intensity of the process.
