FIELD: measuring equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to measurement equipment and provides a device for measuring magnetic characteristics of specimens from electrotechnical steel plates of arbitrary shape. Device comprises differential converter of magnetic induction, which is an L-shaped core, two magnetic field intensity sensor, power supply, microcontroller unit, AC voltage amplifier. On central pole of core there are two identical magnetising coils connected in series and opposite to amplifier output. In each of central core poles there are two slits, inside which there are first and second identical measuring coils. Sensors are arranged on one axis coinciding with centre on thickness of core, at equal distance to nearest to tested sample edge of core.

EFFECT: broader functional capabilities of device by enabling measurement of hysteresis loop and main magnetisation curve of samples of electrical steel plates of arbitrary shape.
