FIELD: measuring equipment.

SUBSTANCE: solves problem of increasing resolution of localisation of sources of acoustic radiation, distributed on object surface measurements for different frequency ranges. Method includes determining spatial distribution of levels of resultant signal of discrete radiators distributed acoustic field source in specified points in space and a spatial distribution of signal level of non-directional radiator. Then calculating spectra obtained distributions levels, inverse Fourier transforms and results of localisation areas of acoustic radiation. Said sequence of operations increases spatial selective capacity when estimating coordinates of position of noise emission areas on surface of object of measurement.

EFFECT: advantage of proposed method consists in that it provides effective analysis of acoustic field measurement object independent of radiation frequency.
