FIELD: engines and pumps.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to power plants, namely to liquid-propellant engines (LPE) on non-hypergolic fuel components, for example for LPE with multiple switching on in flight. Method of ignition of fuel components in liquid rocket engine based on heating, gasification and ignition of combustible mixture, by feeding power pulse from laser source according to invention focusing laser beam is one or several lenses so that optical breakdown is filled with mixture of fuel components cavity at least one injector multi-nozzle mixing head with ignition mixture of fuel components in cavity of nozzle and subsequent ignition of total fuel consumption from the mixing head, combustion products from nozzle. Method is implemented in laser ignition device comprises laser with pumping unit, optical light guide, focusing lens mounted in housing, according to invention inner cavity of housing with focusing lens is connected to cavity of mixing head.

EFFECT: invention provides ignition of fuel components by laser system, first, in cavity of one or several nozzles of mixing head, and then in entire volume of combustion chamber, which increases reliability of ignition.
