FIELD: manufacturing technology.
SUBSTANCE: method involves preparation of a hard alloy powder mixture, its plastification, layer-type filling of prepared mixture and placing of diamonds into a metal mold, pressing of the said mixture with diamonds into a briquette, sintering and impregnation with fusible metals or alloys in the furnace in vacuum. Prior to sintering the briquette is placed on a tray; while on the surface of the briquette there is put a fusible metal or alloy; then the briquette is sintered by heating to evaporation temperature with removal of the formed plasticiser vapours, and then up to or lower than the temperature of low-melting metal or alloy melting, after which the briquette is impregnated by heating to the temperature higher than the melting point of a low-melting metal or alloy, with simultaneous action of low-frequency oscillations on the tray. Note here, that impregnation speed is adjusted by changing the duration of exposure to low-frequency oscillations.
EFFECT: fabrication of diamond tool.
