SUBSTANCE: group of inventions involves a dental material dispensing device, a kit of parts comprising at least two devices, and a method for dental material dispensing; it refers to medical equipment and is applicable in dentistry. The dental material dispensing device comprises a dental material cartridge with a metering orifice, and a piston, a screw mechanism enabling dental material extrusion to the metering orifice, and a cap configured to open and close the metering orifice. The cap comprises a cutting tip configured to cut a portion of the dental material protruded beyond the metering orifice, and a wall through which a notch extends. The cap and the cartridge are configured movable in relation to each other between a closed position in which the cap wall closes the metering orifice, and an open position in which the metering orifice and notch overlap at least partially. The device is configured provided with a dispensing detector indicating a preset amount of the dental material. The detector provides an audible click generated by a ratchet drive making the piston and the cartridge rotate about each other in the dispensing direction and locking the rotation in the opposite direction. The ratchet drive comprises a trigger and a coupled groove; the trigger interacts with the coupled groove to provide the rotation in the direction opposite to that of dispensing within the preset range with the trigger and the coupled groove mutually engaged.

EFFECT: inventions make it possible to reduce the length of preparing mixed dental materials.
