COVER FOR TRANSFER OF ARRAY CASE FOR STORAGE OF SPENT NUCLEAR FUEL AND ARRAY Russian patent published in 2016 - IPC G21F5/00 

FIELD: nuclear physics.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to nuclear engineering, particularly to reloading of ampoules with bundles of fuel cells of RBMK-1000 reactor from a transport case into dry storage rabbits. Cover of the rabbit grid comprises a disc with a central knob and a duplicating gripping clamp and is made with a possibility of its installation on vertical posts of the grid. Knob has a cylindrical bore coaxially with wich a hollow body is connected to the bottom part of the cover. In the body there are installed on axes rotary levers equipped with radial lugs and upper and lower cams, and a movable rod locked in extreme positions by installed on the rod above and below the knob a head and clamp. Grid contains attached to the base vertical posts and three coaxial tiers of cells consisting of tubular sleeves connected with the vertical posts and to each other by plates with formation of round and triangular cells. In the base there are holes coaxial with symmetry axes of cells.

EFFECT: automatic engagement and disengagement of the cover and grid when fitting the cover on the grid and removing it from it, engagement of the grid with the help of the cover with the central cell after removal from it of an ampoule.
