FIELD: power industry.

SUBSTANCE: tight storage container for spent fuel includes housing, cover with load gripper, which is welded to it, at that, the above load gripper is made on cover in the form of a central cap and back-up grabbing collar made along the cover periphery; valve for pumping-out and filling of the container with storage medium and monitoring of tightness and plug bar controlling it, and both of them are installed in central cover cap; central pipe, racks and grid with cells for arrangement of capsules with spent fuel assemblies. Central pipe is welded on inner side to the housing bottom. Cells of its grid are made of sleeves of various length. Long sleeves are enveloped along their perimeter with shorter sleeves in several tiers, which are connected to a long sleeve and to each other by welding. In cavities between extreme sleeves there installed are plates with the holes into which racks are inserted. There is version of container design in which the grid cells are made of sleeves and plates attaching the sleeves to each other and to racks so that cells are formed in sleeves and cavities between plates for arrangement of capsules with spent fuel assemblies, and another version according to which the cells of its grid are made of one tier of sleeves connected to racks and to each other by welding.

EFFECT: group of inventions allows improving manufacturability and metal use efficiency during production of containers and simplifying the operation at capsule loading.
