SUBSTANCE: invention relates to freight rail transport, specifically to methods of securing various goods in open wagons. Method of fastening cargo in railway open wagon when loading above gondola car is characterised by cargo is fixed with at least two textile belts (1), each located on upper row of load attached to said car by means of two set end elements, locked behind external upper tying devices arranged on opposite sides of open-top wagon, tightened and fixed by tightening fixing fasteners with a protective substrate, sewn into textile belt with its one side. On each textile belt there is at least one movable friction lining (10) of textile materials, lower surface abutting thereto, made from friction material, and under each row and at bottom of open-top wagon are friction-separation gaskets. Double textile belt is used in a version of method.
