FIELD: electrical equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to drying equipment and can be applied in food and feedstuff industry for drying products of vegetal and animal origin. Method for freeze-drying fodders and foodstuff involves sublimation by supplying the controlled intensity of microwave energy, creating vacuum in sublimation chamber, and removal of condensate in two-section desublimator. Ice is defrosted in sections of two-sectional desublimator using water, heated by residual microwave energy in tank for microwave heating, which is installed on top of sublimation installation; the water is supplied alternately in each section of the two-sectional desublimator from heated water removal system. Melt water from tanks for meltwater collection in sections of two-sectional desublimator is returned to the tank for microwave heating of water via drainage system for melt water. Uniform thawing of ice on the surface of each section is provided by sprayers arranged in them. Excess of melt water is discharged into the sewerage.
EFFECT: application of invention allows to reduce the drying cycle, save specific energy consumption, and increase efficiency of the process.
