FIELD: shipbuilding.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ship building, particularly to degaussing of ships with ferromagnetic bodies, and to determine optimal parameters of electromagnetic treatment cycle (EMO). Disclosed method of degaussing of ships with ferromagnetic bodies for EMO uses cycles pulses in which have sinusoidal shape, and frequency of magnetising field is selected from condition of achieving on internal surface of attenuation of magnetising field of not more than 50%. For this purpose frequency f of sinusoidal degaussing field is established in accordance with formula: f=0.5(πd2µσ)-1, where d is thickness of hull µ - absolute magnetic permeability of material of housing, σ is specific electrical conductivity.

EFFECT: disclosed method enables to reduce power consumption and improves quality of electromagnetic treatment.
