FIELD: technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a method of treating freely flowing product by means of at least one centrifuge and to said centrifuge, operating in continuous mode. Method of processing freely flowing product by means of at least one centrifuge, operating in continuous mode, includes following stages: a) feeding freely flowing product into a centrifuge drum, b) separating a solid phase from freely flowing product and/or separating said product into two or more liquid phases, c) extracting one or more liquid phases and/or solid phase from centrifuge drum, d) feeding product to be processed in a continuously or discontinuously pulsating volume flow. Treated product is fed at constant pulsation frequency with duration of period depending on one or more of following parameters: inner radius (ri) of a plate of a set of plates, outer radius (ra) of plate, value of inlet flow (QT) in intermediate space between plate and adjacent plate, angle (α) of plate and/or distance (h) from plate to adjacent plate. Centrifuge, in particular separator, has a revolving centrifuge drum, in particular a separator drum with a vertical rotation axis, in which there is a set of plates. Separator drum also has at least one inlet for feeding product to be treated and at least one outlet for discharge of at least one liquid phase and at least one outlet for discharge of at least one other phase, in particular, liquid phase or solid phase. Centrifuge also comprises means to ensure continuous or intermittent pulsation of product volume flow forced into centrifuge drum, treated product supply is carried out with constant pulsation frequency, having duration depending on one or more of said parameters.

EFFECT: high efficiency of treating liquid.
