FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to methods for clarifying flowable products using a centrifuge. According to the first embodiment, the method for clarifying a flowable product using a centrifuge comprises the following steps: setting or determining the start time, repeatedly determining at least one actual value of the parameter of the product of the clear phase discharged from the drum, determine the calibration time period t(K) from the start time to the time in which the actual value of the product parameter or the ratio of increments of the determined actual values of the product parameter and the corresponding time periods between measurements reaches or exceeds a limit value, in particular the limit value of the product parameter. Further, the release of a solid substance is initiated as a result of reaching or exceeding the limit value, in particular the limit value of the product parameter, determining and setting the operating time period t(B) through the determined calibration time period t(K), wherein the operating time period t(B) is less, or equal to, or greater than the determined calibration time period t(K); and initiating at least one or more releases of the solid substance each time after the expiration of the set operating time period t(B). Product parameter of the clear phase and/or the starting product is the degree of turbidity, viscosity and/or conductivity. Release of solid substance is performed through discharge nozzles, wherein the discharge nozzles are closed and opened by means of a piston slide valve. In a particular case, the centrifuge is a separator with a rotating drum with an inlet and at least one liquid discharge for the continuous discharge of at least one clarified liquid phase – the clear phase – and with intermittently opened solid substance outlets for continuous discharge of the solid phase. In another embodiment, the method for clarifying a flowable starting product using a centrifuge comprises the following steps of setting or determining the start time; repeatedly determining/measuring at least one actual value of the product parameter of the clear phase discharged from the drum; determining the ratios of increments of the determined actual values of the product parameters and the corresponding periods of time between measurements and estimating the ratios of increments, and then initiating the discharge of solid substance as a result of estimation in the previous step of the method.
EFFECT: reduction of turbidity of the clear phase.
