FIELD: test equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of detecting defects and cracks on surface of metal equipment and pipelines. On the surface of inspected object in series is applied in direction from larger to smaller diameter of suspension of metal nanoparticles, having property of spherical shape and different relative diameter. After each application surface is dried to remove excess nanoparticles. Method then includes line by line scanning of surface of object beam femtosecond laser and simultaneously recorded signal intensity two-photon luminescence in each of investigated area with fixing position of said area and produce maps of distribution of nanoparticle luminescence intensities excited by laser radiation. Method then includes selecting on obtained maps areas with maximum value of luminous intensity and in axis and form fixed field of luminescence indicates coordinate and form detected defect, and its lateral dimension is taken equal to relative diameter of applied nanoparticles at said stage of application.
EFFECT: higher reliability and accuracy of analysis.
