FIELD: optics.
SUBSTANCE: lens for generating radiation of laser diode includes, arranged in direction of radiation emitting diode element inner and outer surfaces. Central zone of inner surface has optical force providing collimation radiation flux. Outer surface of lens has prismatic shape, top of which is located from radiation source, and comprises main surface located in close proximity to radiating element of diode, and auxiliary surface arranged at angle to longitudinal axis of lens and to main surface. Angles of location of outer main and auxiliary surfaces of lens are selected so that to ensure angle of total internal reflection. Light flow of radiating element completely reflected from inner side of main surface inside body of the and extends at right angle to its support surface.
EFFECT: technical result consists in creation of optical device which provides maximum light flux density of radiation of LED in direction at required angle to longitudinal axis of optical device, characterised by simple design.
