FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ion-ray vacuum processing of materials, particularly to method of ion implantation of surfaces of parts from structural steel. Method involves treatment of surface of parts with stream of ions of copper, lead and tin using cathode implanter made from monothetic alloy of copper with lead, in which is introduced by contact alloying 7-12% of tin. Implantation is carried out with dose of (5.5-8.5)·1017 ion/cm2. Then nitrogen ions with dose of (0.10…0.25)·D, wherein D is dose of implantation with ions of monothetic alloy of copper with lead equal to 1·1017 ion/cm2.

EFFECT: invention can be used in mechanical engineering for increasing wear resistance of parts of machines and mechanisms.
