SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the method of producing the monohydrate of the compound of formula 
by treating the compound of formula 
with the compound of formula 
in a reaction mixture, followed by treating the dissolved compound of formula (I) with an acid to form the salt of the compound of formula (I), which precipitates from the solution containing the dissolved compound of formula (I), and then treating the said salt of the compound of formula (I) with an aqueous basic solution to precipitate the monohydrate of the compound of formula (I).
EFFECT: improved method.
