FIELD: manufacturing technology.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to polymer coating based on fluorocarbon polymer, polypropylene, polyethylene, fluorine-chlorocarbon polymer, fluorinated ether, or combinations thereof, for application on inner surface of reactor or its part in process of producing phenol and acetone by cumol method, forming film when applied with thickness from 1 to 10,000 mcm with surface tension of from 19 to 31 mN/m. Invention also relates to method of producing phenol and acetone, which involves decomposition of cumene hydroperoxide at temperature of 90-160 °C and pressure of up to 1,400 kPa in one or more reactors, wherein process is carried out in reactor, inner surface of which is covered with disclosed polymer coating.
EFFECT: invention allows to reduce undesirable accumulation of deposits in production equipment.
