FIELD: communication.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to communication engineering and can be used for configuration of wave length in passive optical network with multiple wavelengths. Method includes scanning, using ONU descending wavelength reception and reception of information on descending wave length of each channel, which is transmitted broadcast method with help of OLT separately through each channel of descending wavelength; creating, by means of ONU mapping table descending wavelength reception in accordance with information on descending wavelength, wherein display table entry descending wavelength reception includes information on descending wavelength reception, information on current excitation optical receiver of descending direction, and optical physical parameter receiving ONU; selecting, by means of ONU, one wavelength from information on descending wavelength, and installation, in accordance with information on current excitation optical receiver of descending direction, recorded in table display descending wavelength reception and working wavelength of optical receiver of the descending direction into selected descending wavelength.
EFFECT: technical result consists in increase of volume of information on wavelengths, intended for communication.
