SUBSTANCE: invention relates to optical communication. To this end, a PON system is disclosed. PON system includes OLT and at least two ONU and OLT, and at least two ONUs exchange data along one downlink channel and two upstream channels. OLT sends downlink data to each ONU via a downlink, where the downstream data includes the upstream bandwidth resolution, and the upstream bandwidth allocation is used to control the ONU to send the upstream data; ONU receives downlink data over a downlink and sends upstream data on a first uplink or a second uplink based on an uplink bandwidth resolution included in the downlink data; and the OLT receives uplink data sent by each ONU through the first uplink and the second uplink, wherein the registration function is disabled on the first uplink, and the registration function is enabled on the second uplink.

EFFECT: technical result is increased transmission channel capacity.
