FIELD: radio engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to radio engineering and can be used as part of systems of radio-electronic equipment in decametre wavelength range and top of hectometre wavelength range (multichannel radio communication nodes, systems of over-the-horizon radar) for rapid determination of optimal values of operating frequencies in range of 1.5…30.0 MHz ionospheric radio paths of different length. Chirp ionosonde includes a transmission path, receiving path, a controller, an automated operator workstation and a synchronisation unit (SU). Listed devices are designed and connected to each other in a certain manner.

EFFECT: technical result is reduction of intensity of electromagnetic environment using a chirp ionosonde as part of radioelectronic equipment and high accuracy of estimating parameters of ionosphere probing results.
