FIELD: ventilation.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to dust suppression technology of coal mines and can be used for air protection against contamination by dust originating from mining process of coal mine in winter and summer seasons. Method uses a snow gun (9), which is connected by electric cable (7) and water hose (8) to pumping station (6). Snow gun (9) scatters snow over territory, requiring removal of dust. Snow gun (9) is mounted at a distance of 10-20 m from cars with coal (4), into which coal is loaded by excavator (3), covering zone of scattering by snow gun (9), of coal storage (2), where coal is collected by bucket of excavator (3). During cold period (from -1.5 °C to -40 °C) dust control is carried out with application to dusty surface of artificial snow, and in warm season (from +40 °C to -1.5 °C) is carried out by spraying a cold water jet at a distance of 15-20 m. Snow gun (9) is fitted with a motion sensor and a humidity sensor. Motion sensor detects beginning and end of loading of coal. Humidity sensor detects onset of precipitation. Snow gun (9) is automatically turned on in event of coal loading and turned off at end of loading or onset of precipitation. Water hose (8) and pump station (6) are isolated.

EFFECT: safer and technologically simpler way to protect against air pollution by coal dust.
