FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine building and can be used in rotor machines with high requirements for high speed and possibility of multiple start-ups (shutdowns) of machine. Combination support includes housing and rolling bearing and bearing installed in it, made up in form of sleeve with metal plates. As one of support surfaces of bearing on main operating modes and mounting elements in periods of launches-stops are resilient metal plates that form wedge gaps with shaft, and in housing along circumference are electromagnetic coils connected to power supply whereto secured are piezo actuators pressed by springs.
EFFECT: technical result is increase in service life and reliability of system "rotor-support" due to separation and duplication of functions of rolling bearing and sliding bearing and active control of their characteristics on different modes of operation of rotary machine.
