FIELD: powder metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to powder metallurgy, in particular to the production of multilayer carbide plates. It can be used in tool making to equip blade cutting tools operating in continuous and interrupted cutting conditions of hardened steels, cast irons, hard alloys and other difficult-to-cut materials. Multilayer carbide plate contains upper and lower layers of tungsten carbide with cobalt binder and an intermediate layer containing 30-40 wt.% Titanium carbide and 60-70 wt.% Powdered carbide steel. Powdered carbide steel contains, wt%: carbon 1.0-1.5, manganese 1.0-1.5, vanadium 1.0-2.0, titanium 20-30, iron - the rest. The plate is obtained by layer-by-layer placement in a mold of a charge corresponding to the composition of the outer bottom and at least one of the intermediate layers of the plate blank, and separate pressing of each of these layers with a pressure of 25-50 MPa. Then place a charge corresponding to the composition of the outer upper layer, and carry out the final pressing with a pressure of 150-200 MPa and sintering at 1410-1450°C for 1.5-2 hours.
EFFECT: invention provides an increase in the hardness and strength of the carbide insert for the cutting tool.
