FIELD: pharmaceutics.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to pharmaceutical industry, specifically to a process for production of an agent having a stress-protective and antihypoxic activity. Method consists in that extraction is carried out three times to 1 mm crushed rhizomes and roots Leuzea flowered at 70 °C and constant stirring, with vegetable material is extracted with 60 % ethanol for 90 minutes at a ratio of raw materials: extractant 1:12, extract is filtered and concentrated to 1/3 volume, then two more extractions are carried out with purified water taken in amount equal to volume of fusion, each 60 minutes, aqueous extract is evaporated to 1/3 volume, combined bottoms of three extracts are separated, to evaporated to 1/5 original volume and dried.

EFFECT: method described above widens range of herbal drugs with stress-protective and antihypoxic activity.
