Opto-electronic device for monitoring quality of engine oil comprises a lighting unit, a image capture, image processing unit, a control circuit of illumination units connected in series with first digital to analog converter and a computer, an electromechanical valve dosing oil from crankcase to control unit electromechanical valve successively coupled to second digital to analog converter and a computer, a stepper motor coupled in series with stepper motor controller, to a third digital to analog converter and a computer, two coils with a tape of filter paper, a lens, a CCD array connected in series with a first analog-to-digital converter, DSP-processors and computers, a thermal sensor coupled in series with amplifier, a second analog-to-digital converter and a computer, a digital display interface connected to external devices.

EFFECT: possibility of continuous automated control, higher accuracy, efficiency and reliability of measurements.
