FIELD: measuring equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention enables to conduct rapid analysis of motor oil quality. Method consists in fact that sample dosing supplied to analysis is carried out, drop of oil is applied on tape of filter paper, tape is moved in image capturing position with subsequent illumination of oil droplet, image is processed using computer and from digital image signal of one central row is selected, Fourier conversion of this line is performed, and obtained conversion automatically compared with reference and integral dirtiness index of motor oil is formed by comparison result.
EFFECT: possibility of continuous automated control, higher accuracy, efficiency and reliability of measurements.
