FIELD: measurement equipment.

SUBSTANCE: display device for a vehicle comprises a speed sensor (22), made as capable of measurement of vehicle speed; a unit to determine level of environmentally safe driving, made as capable of determining the level of environmental driving in process of vehicle driving on the basis of the difference between the recommended pressing value, which is the recommended value of accelerator pressing, and the actual pressing value, which is the actual value of accelerator pressing pressed by the driver; a display segment (24), in which the image (G1) is displayed, stylized in the form of a horizontally elongated ellipse, having low contrast in the area of the contour. The segment (24) is within the peripheral area of driver's vision above the segment (23) of the detailed display. The display device comprises a segment of detailed display (23), which displays the scale of actual value of accelerator pressing, which is located between the speed indicator (21) of the engine and the speed sensor (22) of the engine outside the peripheral area of vision of the driver. The display control unit changes the shape of the ellipse in the segment (G1) depending on the fact whether driving is environmentally safe.

EFFECT: directing line of driver's sight at level of the environmentally safe driving indicator.
