SUBSTANCE: invention relates to controlling repair of automotive equipment. Method of controlling repair action on assemblies and units of automotive equipment includes identification of object to be repaired; diagnosis of object; control of repair actions; accumulation, storage and visual presentation of information on object and accounting of detected defects. During identification, basic assembly units are determined. Object is diagnosed by measuring parameters of basic assembly units. Depending on measurement results, repair actions include repair or replacement of base assembly unit with its parts. Parts and assembly units with replaceability factor higher than a given threshold value is replaced without diagnosis.

EFFECT: reduced time and material costs during repair.
