FIELD: nuclear physics; transportation.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to containers for transportation and/or storage of spent fuel assemblies (SFA) of nuclear reactors. Container includes a housing in which there is a cover, which includes channels for installation of spent fuel assemblies and central pipe, a protective sealing cover arranged at recess in upper part of housing. Cover is equipped with clamping devices installed in its lower part, each opposite corresponding channel. Each clamping device is made in form of a cup with a hole in bottom, in which is installed an axle, in its lower part there is a flange with groove accommodating predeformed spring by means of a disc installed in upper part of axis, having possibility of movement along axis. Between cup and disc there is a second predeformed spring of larger diameter. Spent fuel assemblies are arranged on disc.

EFFECT: elimination of transportation of free movement in container cover with spent fuel assemblies, and without them due to elastic damping cover and/or spent fuel assemblies with stop in bottom cover.
