FIELD: test equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to gas chromatography and can be used for standardisation and estimation of authenticity of various medicinal plant raw materials in medicine, pharmacology, food, perfume and other industries. Method for assessing authenticity of various medicinal plant raw material consists in that a sample of medicinal plant raw material is kept 40 minutes at two temperatures 60 and 80°C, volatile components independently are analysed for polar and nonpolar capillary columns. Based on results of analysis of equilibrium vapour phase samples at each temperature are determined for three volatile components (markers) with maximum content in sample three independent "fingerprints". Retention indices of markers on polar and nonpolar columns and difference of said indices for same marker.
EFFECT: high reliability during standardisation and estimation of authenticity of medicinal plant material.
