FIELD: instrumentation.

SUBSTANCE: invention covers the radar determination of the level and a system to this end. The claimed procedure includes the transmission of at least two time-separated pulses in a carrier wave that feature identical carrier frequencies. The phase shift change is determined which is related with two pulses in the said transmitted signals of equal frequencies. The measured value is compared with a threshold magnitude. Depending on the results of the said comparison, the distance is determined proceeding from the ratio between transmitted and reflected signals.

EFFECT: provision of the level radar measurement system exploiting constant frequency pulses.
