SUBSTANCE: disclosed is FMCW-type radar level gauge (2) intended for determination of distance to surface (7) of product located in reservoir (5), and comprising transceiver (11) configured to send a transmitted electromagnetic signal and receive a return electromagnetic signal reflected from surface (7). Transmitted electromagnetic signal has a bandwidth of at least 1 GHz, ratio of boundary frequencies (ratio of maximum frequency to minimum) is less than 2.5 and upper boundary frequency is less than 4 GHz. Level gage (2) comprises mechanically suspended single-wire probe (9), which enters into product (6), located in reservoir (5), and matching component providing electrically matched connection of sealed electric through passage (21) and probe (9). In the disclosed level gauge relatively expensive soothing tube, known from the state of the art, is replaced with a relatively cheap single-wire probe (9), which functions as a wave guide for the surface wave.
EFFECT: technical result when implementing the declared group of inventions is elimination of disturbances in the FMCW-type radar sensor used in the tank.
