FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in chemistry, biology and medicine for imaging and diagnosis. Colloidal inorganic semiconductor nanocrystals are transferred from organic to aqueous phase, not miscible with organic phase, using a phase transfer catalyst. Phase-transfer catalyst used is enantiomers chiral molecules. Phase-transfer process is carried out at temperature in range of 0-4 °C. Semiconductor nanocrystals are transferred from organic phase into aqueous phase, which have same type of chiral property as used enantiomer of phase-transfer catalyst.
EFFECT: invention allows separation of enantiomers of inorganic colloidal semiconductor nanocrystals by enantioselective phase transfer.
