FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to method of obtaining glycouril, which includes process of glycosal and urea condensation at temperature 80°C for 30 minutes with addition of glycosal when reaction mass reaches temperature 60°C, which is characterised by the fact that as catalyst applied is p-toluenesulphonic acid, with the following component ratio in molar ratios: glycosal 1.0, urea 2.5, p-toluenesulphonic acid 0.18, water 11.0, with water solution of glycosal being added drop-by-drop at temperature 60°C.
EFFECT: novel method of obtaining glycouril, characterised by simplicity and high output of target product, has been elaborated.
