FIELD: measuring equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of measuring flow rate of liquids and gases in pipelines without contact with controlled medium. Invention may find application in many fields of industry, and in housing and utility services, particularly where there is a need in flow measurement on short and straight pipeline sections. Method for ultrasonic measurement is based on taking into account change of sound speed in medium caused by temperature fluctuations and other external conditions; automatic taking into account of internal diameter of pipeline in direction of measurements, which can differ from passport data due to presence of deposits on walls of pipeline, imperfect rounded in cross-section surface roughness; automatic taking into account mutual positions of piezoelectric transducers relative to each other, which reduces effect of inaccuracies of mounting (accounting of Δ in calculations) and time for installation in portable flowmeters, based on this method of measurements, as well as possibility of implementing multi-planar proximity meter.

EFFECT: high measurement accuracy and ease of system operation.
